How "ARF" helps Lawrence County critters

November 13, 2009NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.-- Volunteers continue working to the jump start efforts for Lawrence County hire a humane officer to investigate and enforce laws regarding animal cruelty.

A group of concerned citizens created the Lawrence County Animal Relief Fund (ARF) as they try to set up a non-profit organization to work with county leaders to secure a humane officer position. The group is also active in supporting the work with organizations like Promises for Pets and the Lawrence County Humane Society.

WCN 24/7's Adam Plyler talks one on one with ARF board members Lillian Germaine and Richard Rapone, who is also Lawrence County's treasurer.
