Swimming & Diving: SAAC Collecting Haiti Relief Donations at Thursday's Swim Meet

February 2, 2010NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will collect donations during Thursday night's home men's and women's swimming and diving dual meet vs. Grove City to support the Haiti earthquake relief fund.

The meet, which pits the only two men's and women's teams in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) with undefeated PAC dual meet records, starts at 6 p.m. in the Westminster Natatorium.

This is the Westminster SAAC's second fundraising effort for Haiti relief. Last week, the Westminster SAAC collected donations at a men's and women's basketball doubleheader vs. Saint Vincent. The Westminster SAAC effort is a part of an overall Westminster College campus campaign "Hands for Haiti" to raise funds for three Care organizations: World Vision, www.WorldVision.org/Haiti, Partners in Health, www.standwithhaiti.org/haiti, and Oxfam America, www.oxfamamerica.org. All three organizations are on the ground and working diligently in Haiti.
