SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa.-- The livestock, carnival rides, food vendors and crowds have arrived at Lawrence County Fairgrounds across from Laurel High School for the annual celebration of agriculture and county traditions.  The fair runs through Aug. 18.

Organizers of the 59th annual Lawrence County Fair have launched an impressive campaign on Facebook where they are calling it the greatest show in Western Pennsylvania. The 2012 version of the fair includes nightly events from truck pulls to country music concerts to draw in and keep the crowds entertain all week long.

Fair admission is $8 per person per day for access to the fairground and all the rides. Grandstand events come with a separate cost for each night of the fair.
