NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.-- Westminster College’s Chapel Drama will present Godspell Friday and Sunday, March 15 and 17, in Wallace Memorial Chapel.

Friday’s show will be at 7 p.m.  Sunday’s performances will be at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., which will take the place of evening vespers.  The performances are open to the public.  A freewill offering will be collected during intermission to support Westminster’s Campus Ministries.

Based on the book by John Michael Tebelak and on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, Godspell is one of the biggest off-Broadway and Broadway successes of all time. Drawing from various theatrical traditions, such as clowning, pantomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville, it is a groundbreaking and unique reflection on the life of Jesus, with a message of kindness, tolerance and love.

Godspell is entirely student produced.  The production crew includes: co-directors Christian Heasley and Joshua Scott; choreographer Hannah Jaskiewicz; music director Ben Groves; stage manager Emily Hilliard; lighting by Stephen Bendig; costume designs by Courtney Jackson; and the cast and musicians.
