Cross Country: Titan Women Place Fourth, Men Eighth at PAC Championships

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College men's and women's cross country teams at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships Saturday. The Titan women placed fourth out of nine teams with 117 points. The Titan men placed eighth out of nine teams with 180 points.
On the men's side, sophomore Aaron Sutton (Warren, Ohio/Howland) earned first-team all-PAC honors by finishing the 8-kilometer race in 26:56.40 for 7th place overall. This was his first first-team conference honor as he earned second-team accolades a year ago. Sutton is also the first men's Titan to earn first-team since 2008.
Scott Ryan of Washington & Jefferson won the men's race at 25:31.50 and Saint Vincent men's took won the event with 44 points.
On the women's side, sophomore Jenny Jones (Erie, Pa./Fort LeBoeuf) earned second-team all-PAC laurels, for the second time in her career, by cracking the top 20 with a 12th-place time of 24:19 in the 6-kilometer race.
Kristen Galligan of Washington & Jefferson won the women's race at 21:45.5 and Grove women's took home the PAC title for the second-straight year with 35 points.
Westminster will run in the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional at Dickinson Nov. 10.
