ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say they raided a Lawrence County business suspected of selling synthetic marijuana after a man came forward and offered to help police bust the business after his son was hospitalized for smoking the substance.

The Associated Press is not identifying the business because its owners have not been charged and because state police crime lab results are still pending on the 12 different substances seized Friday from the business in Ellwood City.

Police say the man alerted Lawrence County authorities and agreed to buy some of the suspected synthetic marijuana and turn it over to police. Police used the information they obtained from that undercover buy to get a search warrant for the business.
