Finishing Touches on Senior Terrace

Work crews re-install the lamp posts on Senior Terrace as students, faculty & staff complete final exams week.

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.-- The not-so extreme makeover of Senior Terrace next to Old Main making up the northern part of the campus Quad is nearly complete.  Workers have installed new pavers and a widen sidewalk.  Now touch ups, mulch and the re-installation of the lamp posts are the finishing touches underway.

The construction began the week before homecoming.  The renovations included new sidewalks, ADA ramps and new sod.  The new and improved Senior Terrace will also feature new landscaping as it extends the terrace area further into the Quad.

The improvements will enhance commencement on May 19.  The terrace seats the graduating class and the faculty sits along the adjacent sidewalk while guest watch from the Quad.  The class of 2012 will fill the terrace.  The class includes more than 450 students and was one of the largest ever for the college when the now seniors arrived on campus in 2008.
