Flicking Discs with The Ultimate Frisbee Club

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa - There is a very unique group on the campus of Westminster College. They are called the Ultimate Frisbee Club.

The Ultimate Frisbee Club, also known as UFC for short, plays year round.

“We even play in the snow” President Jarred Treshok said. “It does not matter what kind of conditions are outside. We will be outside playing.”

The club was founded back in 2003. The club started out small, but once people caught onto what the club is playing and how intense they play the sport, people were quick to come out and play.

Treshok feels that one of the unique aspects of the club is the special group they have.

“Every person in the club is close. We are always quick to say hi anyone on campus and are willing to help anyone as well. Frisbee is a good way to relieve stress. Even if you are not taking your stress out on the game, there is always someone you can talk to help your day out.”

The club meets everyday at four Monday through Friday. Weekends are kept for relaxing.

“We need time to heal. If we would play everyday we would not survive the whole year.”
