Football: Allen, Orloski, Pasquinelli Earns Spot in National Bowl Game

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Westminster College's seniors Kyle Allen (New Wilmington, Pa./West Middlesex), Derrick Orloski (Butler, Pa./Slippery Rock), and Geno Pasquinelli (Salem, Ohio/Salem) have been selected to participate in the 4th annual D3 Senior Classic Scout Bowl featuring 70 of the top Division III football players in the nation. The game will be held Friday, Dec. 7, in Salem, Virginia.
Allen, a 2012 all-PAC first team recipient, recorded a team-high three interceptions, including a 92-yard touchdown return in the season finale against Geneva. Allen also posted 31 tackles, eight pass defenses and two blocked kicks. As a return specialist, Allen gained a team-high 253 yards on 15 kick returns. Allen finished his career with 12 interceptions, including two returned for touchdowns, 159 tackles and 27 pass defenses. As a kick returner, he finished his career third all-time in school history with 1444 career kick return yards.
Orloski's 60 tackles on the season ranked him 13th in the PAC and third on the team. Orloski posted an interception, eight tackles for loss and four pass defenses. He earned a spot on the all-PAC second team.
Pasquinelli, a 2012 all-PAC second team honoree, recorded 29 receptions this season, and 349 receiving yards, ranked second on the team. Pasquinelli's 43.0 receiving yards per game average ranked 10th in the PAC. Pasquinelli made his mark in the career receiving record books, finishing third all-time in receptions with 139, tied for fourth in touchdowns with 19, and 10th in receiving yards with 1521.
The D3 Classic Scout Bowl is the only game exclusively dedicated to showcase the top Division III football players in the country and is hosted by the Collegiate Development Football League. It will be a North vs. South all-star game format. League representatives from the NFL, CFL, UFL, IFL, AFL, and European professional scouts will all be at this three day event. This is a player supported game in which players are eligible for limited college sponsorship. This game was developed by the CDFL to promote professional opportunities for American players in Europe.
