Head-on crash on Route 19 in Lawrence Co.

SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa.-- State police say two people are recovering in a Youngstown hospital from injuries they suffered in a head-on crash on Route 19 in Scott Township on Saturday morning.

Troopers say 20-year old Jesse Swanson Slippery Rock was headed South Route 19. Swanson's Toyota Solara crashed into a Chevy S-10 truck driven by 22-year old Daniel Book of Lawrence County who was headed north. The crash happened just after 4 a.m. Book was thrown from his truck.

Police say both vehicles were totaled in the accident which remains under investigation.
