Man faces charges for fatally stabbing his wife

NEW CASTLE, Pa. (AP)— Police say they have jailed a Lawrence County man on charges he fatally stabbed his wife.  Police say he acknowledged killing the woman after she first stabbed him.

New Castle police say they found 38-year-old Shawn Thomas Moore sitting on his front porch steps wearing bloody clothes with a cut on his hand when they arrived at a call reporting a domestic dispute about 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say they found 36-year-old Alisha Moore dead of multiple stab wounds inside the house.

Online court records don't list an attorney for Shawn Moore, who remained in the Lawrence County Jail without bond on charges of criminal homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
