PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Richard King Mellon Foundation of Pittsburgh has given $4 million to Grove City College for a new science, engineering and mathematics building.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports the gift will help pay for the $37 million building. The college is about 65 miles north of Pittsburgh.

The school plans to open the 63,000 square-foot building for the fall 2013 semester.

College president Dr. Richard G. Jewell says the school is heartened by the gift.

Philadelphia-based architectural firm Ballinger designed the building.
