Men's Soccer: Osae's OT Goal Seals Comeback Win at Bethany

BETHANY, W. Va. - The Westminster College men's soccer team overcame a 3-0 deficit to win 4-3 in double overtime at Bethany Wednesday night. Titan junior David Osae's goal at the 104:24 mark in double overtime was the game-winner, his second second-straight match with the game-winning goal. The Titans improved to 10-3-2 overall and 4-1-1 in the PAC, while the Bison dropped to 5-9-1 overall and 3-2 in the conference.
Bethany had a 3-0 early lead after three goals in the first half (22:22, 23:49, 38:36). Titan freshman Marcus Gurgiolo (Edinburg, PA / Mohawk Area) put Westminster on the board with a goal (43:06) before intermission. This was Gurgiolo's second goal of the year.
The Titans took control in the second half with scores from freshmen Stephen McDaniel (Jamestown, NC / Southwest Guilford) (66:21) and Ethan McCarthy (New Castle, PA / Neshannock) (73:40) to tie the game 3-3. McCarthy's goal tied senior Josh Cantella (Freedom, PA / Freedom) for a team-leading seven on the year.
Titan senior goalie Adam Kephart (Beaver Falls, PA / Beaver County Christian) gathered in seven saves.
Westminster will travel to Point Park on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m.
