Men's Soccer: Titans Finish 2012 Season with PAC Semifinals Loss

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - The Westminster College men's soccer team ended its 2012 season with a 4-0 loss at Thomas More in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Semifinals match on Wednesday. Westminster finished its season at 11-6-2 overall, while the Saints improved to 12-3-4 and advanced to the PAC Championship match.
Westminster's 11 wins are the most in a season since 2008 when the Titans won 17 games along with a PAC Championship.
The Saints scored two goals in the first half and two in the second. Thomas More outshot Westminster 18-13 and had a 9-2 corner kick advantage.
Westminster senior goalie Adam Kephart (Beaver Falls, PA / Beaver County Christian) had a game-high five saves.
For the year, Titan freshman Ethan McCarthy (New Castle, PA / Neshannock) and senior Josh Cantella (Freedom, PA/Freedom) tied for first on the team with seven goals each. Freshman Steven McDaniel (Jamestown, NC / Southwest Guilford) followed with six goals. Junior David Osae (Bedford, TX / Lawrence D. Bell) tied a season-high five goals, including a season-best and team-high three game-winners. Kephart ended his collegiate career with season-high marks of 77 saves and 1.30 goals against average.
