Titan hockey team hits the ice for a new season

NEW WILMINGTON, PA--The NHL lockout has shown no signs of ending any time soon. So for you a hockey fans in New Wilmington there’s a team playing right in town in which you might not even know about.

Westminster College is home to a club hockey team whose season is just getting started. The Titans play in an adult league where there competitions ages range from 18-45. However the Westminster roster is full of students that attend the college. The reason the students suit up for a club sport is there passion for the game.

“I play club hockey to stay in shape and to have fun, I’ve been skating around the ice since the age of 3 and I really don’t see me stopping any time soon,” Josh Beistel said.

The Titans will be back in action all second semester until the seasons end in mid-March.
