Santa Clause is Comin' to New Wilmington

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--New Wilmington will bring the Christmas spirit to town with the 4th annual Light Up the Diamond and Christmas Parade Friday, December 7, 2012. 

This is a special year for all that attend the parade because Santa Clause is Coming to town!

Santa will be making his grand appearance as he travels throughout New Wilmington on a 1929 Seagrave Fire Truck. This fire truck was the first motorized fire engine in the New Wilmington area.

The New Wilmington Area Chamber of Commerce, New Wilmington Borough, and the New Wilmington Volunteer Fire Department are sponsoring the event. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. and will travel down South Market Street. The parade will consists of floats, music, and fire trucks that will display this years theme of “Country Christmas.”

Each float entered in the parade will be judged according to the theme of “Country Christmas,” and prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners.  

Santa Clause will even be sharing his milk and cookies with everyone following the parade at the Jameson Health Center parking lot.
