NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. --- Students at Westminster College strive to receive a college education no matter what the cost. Titan Radio's Taylor Johnson found out the history of credit card companies and how students can be as debt free as possible upon graduation.
According to Credit Card Nation by Robert Manning, "The credit card nation emerged from the profound economic dislocations of the U. S in the 1970's and is distinguished by the rise of distinctive attitudes towards savings and debt." Many experts say this attitude has not and will not go away anytime soon.
Westminster students feel the pain of lack of money and many resort to plastic instead of paper. The issue of whether or not to use a credit card and what habits students should develop in hopes of becoming debt free upon graduation was answered by Professor of Accounting, David Smith.
Students must remember to use credit cards sparingly and to not over spend themselves. To find out more about college friendly credit cards and how to correctly use them, please visit www.creditcardchaser.com.
