NEW WILMINGTON Pa.-- At the December New Wilmington borough meeting the disposal of grease from  Galbreath Hall was discussed.  Borough superintendent Fred Garrett disagrees with Westminster engineers about the size of a grease trap.  A grease trap simply traps the excess grease created by mass food preparation.  With the addition of the new student restaurant in Galbreath Hall the grease has increased and needs a larger grease trap according to the borough council.  College engineers suggested a fifty to fifty thousand gallon grease trap, while borough council engineers suggest a one thousand gallon grease trap.  Garrett said that the college wants to put the grease trap closer to the building so the grease will be more hot, therefore producing less waste.  The borough would prefer the grease trap farther away from the building making the grease colder, therefore producing more waste.  The borough will discuss further options with the college for next month's meeting.  Meetings are held the first Monday of every month and are open to the public.
