NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.-- Police say three Westminster students head to court for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 23 where they will face a number of charges after a weekend run-in with officers.  They say it happened at the Jeemco building on East Neshannock Avenue early Sunday morning.  The students are accused of burglary, criminal trespass, hindering apprehension.

New Wilmington police identified the accused as 22-year old Patrick John Dever, 19-year old Anthony Joseph Mazzocchi and 19-year old Nicholas Ryan Hainsey.  All three appeared before a district judge on Sunday.  They were released after each posted $10,000 bail.

Police say Mazzochi also faces charges of possession of a control substance and underage drinking.  They report Hainsey also faces an underage drinking charge.

An officer discovered plywood torn away from an entry point in the building and evidence of a burglary.  Police say they went inside to investigate.  That’s when they discovered the accused hiding inside the structure.

Police indicate they will file additional charges.
