OBERLIN, Ohio-- The Westminster College football team traveled to Oberlin College yesterday for an exhibition game. The Titans and the Yeowomen were tied 14-14 after three quarters of play before both teams went 10 plays each with the defense and offense alternating. All-PAC senior Kyle Allen (New Wilmington, PA / West Middlesex) highlighted the day for the Titans with a 75-yard interception returned for a touchdown.
"The scrimmage went very well," said eighth-year head coach Jeff Hand. "We came through the physical scrimmage relatively healthy. Senior running back John Proano (Titusville, PA / Titusville) had nice runs and junior running back Tyler Banks (Meadville, PA / Meadville) scored a touchdown. Also, our first year kicker and punter had nice days for their first college experience."
Westminster opens its season on September 1 as it hosts Hiram at 7 p.m. under the lights of Harold Burry Stadium.
