Track & Field: Titans Compete at Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Westminster College men's and women's track & field teams competed in the Jim Wuske Invitational on Saturday. The University of Mount Union hosted the event.
FreshmanMarissa Kalsey (Waynesburg, PA / Waynesburg) led the Titan women with a first-place finish in the pole vault with a 3.56m mark, while junior Haley Gabor (New Kensington, PA / Ford City) placed fifth with a mark of 2.91m. Gabor also earned two other top-10 finishes as she placed fourth in the 200 meter dash (27.94) and sixth in the 400 meter dash (1:03.32). Freshman Angela Colella (West Middlesex, PA / West Middlesex) clocked in at 28.44 in the 200 meter dash for ninth-place. SeniorMorgan Swartz (West Middlesex, PA / West Middlesex) placed second in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 11:37.08. Senior Alyssa Cauley (Pittsburgh, PA / Baldwin) earned 10th-place in the 1 mile run with a time of 5:57.70. Junior Moriah Agnew (Bridgeport, OH / Bridgeport) placed ninth in the shot put with a toss of 10.30m.
SeniorMark Saylor (West Middlesex, PA / West Middlesex) led the Titan men with a first-place finish in the pole vault with a 4.66m mark. Also in the field events, senior Chris Weeda (Wellsville, OH / Southern Local) placed ninth in the shot put with a toss of 12.41m. Senior Kyle Allen (New Wilmington, PA / West Middlesex) placed 11th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.92.
Westminster is back in action next Friday when it competes at the Baldwin-Wallace Mid-February Meet.
