Track & Field: Titans Open Outdoor Season at Coastal Carolina Invite

CONWAY, S.C. - The defending Presidents' Athletic Conference champions Westminster College men's and women's track & field teams opened its outdoor season at the Coastal Carolina Invitational. The un-scored invite, which included 21 collegiate teams as well as four club teams, took place Friday and Saturday.


Westminster senior Adam Carswell (Painesville, OH / Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) led the men's team in the 400 meter dash with a fifth-place finish out of 50 runners with a time of 49.85.


Freshman Jake Dindak (Pittsburgh, PA / Baldwin) followed with a 17th-place finish (51.28). Junior Aaron Sutton (Warren, OH / Howland) finished 22nd out of 63 runners in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:08.99. Freshman Nick Fiorentino (Franklin, PA / Franklin) led in the field events as he placed 11th in the javelin throw with a toss of 50.97 meters.  

On the women's side, junior Haley Gabor (New Kensington, PA / Ford City) finished 15th out of 55 runners in the 400 meter dash (59.37). Senior Liv Miller (Freedom, PA / Freedom) finished 23rd in the 1,500 meter run (5:02.37). Senior Sydney Spain (Batavia, IL / Batavia) placed fifth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at 12:11.23.  

Westminster is back in action when it competes at the Grove City Mini-Meet on March 18.
