Volleyball: Titans Top Grove City, 3-1

GROVE CITY, Pa. - The Westminster College volleyball team topped Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Grove City, 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-16), on Friday. The Titans improved to 21-8 overall and 11-5 in the PAC, while the Wolverines dropped to 12-15 overall and 6-10 in the conference.
Westminster junior Katie Palkovic (Camp Hill, PA / Trinity) had a team-high 52 assists to go along with 13 digs and eight kills. Juniors Rebecca Riemer (Pittsburgh, PA / Mount Lebanon) and Megan Romocean (Ravenna, OH / Southeast) led the Titan attack with 13 kills each. Also contributing was sophomore Kassie Freyermuth (Allison Park, PA / North Allegheny) with seven kills. Freshman Megan Prybyl (Mars, PA / North Catholic) added five kills and a team-high four aces.
Titan senior Tara Incerpi (Carrollton, OH / Minerva) led the defense with 23 digs. Also earning double digits in digs for Westminster were juniors Claire Ferrando (North Jackson, OH / Western Reserve) and Chrissy Volsko (Canfield, OH / Austintown Fitch) with 13 and 10 digs, respectively. Earning blocks for Westminster were junior Lexi Starheim (Hubbard, OH / Hubbard) (4), Riemer (3), Freyermuth (3), and Romocean (2).
Westminster will host Thiel on Thursday at 7 p.m.
