GREENVILLE, Pa. - Westminster College earned six first-place votes and finished with 77 total points in securing the top position on the 2012 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Tennis Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Westminster is led by head coach Scott Renninger, who is in his eighth year as the head coach of the Westminster women's tennis squad. He was named the PAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year for three straight years from 2006-2008 and led the Titan women to runner-up finishes at the PAC Championships in each of the last six seasons, including the 2011-2012 team that set the school record for wins in a season with a perfect 18-0 record.

"It is truly an honor to have gained such respect from our peers, and I think it is a testament to the work and dedication our women have put forth the past few years to be predicted to finish atop the PAC standings. While it is humbling to earn this preseason recognition, we know that the PAC is a very strong tennis conference with strong teams from top to bottom, and it will be a battle each and every match. Every team aspires to winning a conference championship, and I think it will be an exciting season for the PAC with some great tennis," said Renninger.

Saint Vincent College finished in the second spot with 69 points. Grove City College collected the remaining two first-place votes and finished with 67 points. Waynesburg University and Bethany College tied for fourth place in the preseason coaches' poll with 45 points, followed by Thomas More College (42), Geneva College (31), Washington & Jefferson College (30), Chatham University (20) and Thiel College (14).
