Westminster's Veterans Day ceremonies airs on WCN

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.-- Westminster College's Office of Faith and Spirituality hosted a special worship service honoring America's veterans on Friday in Orr Auditorium. The program will now televise on the Westminster Cable Network (WCN).
WCN (Armstrong Channel 72 in New Wilmington/Digital 204 & Comcast Channel 183) will air the program on Sunday and Monday (Nov. 11 & 12) at 11 a.m.
The service featured guest speaker Iraq veteran Sergeant First Class (SFC) Raymond Corvino. He is the Senior Enlisted Logistical Advisor to the Battalion Commander and Administrative Officer of the 1st Battalion 107th Field Artillery Regiment of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
SFC Corvino served in Operation Iraqi Freedom during the surge and was part of the first area of operations controlled by an all National Guard Command. He has earned 23 awards and decorations during his 25 years in the service. SFC Corvino is the father of current Westminster College student Joshua Corvino.
The Westminster Wind Ensemble and Combined Choirs performed at the service.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Scott Mackenzie, associate professor, director of theatre, and a veteran who served in Iraq; with help from Dr. Kirk Lunnen, associate professor of psychology and a lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force Reserves.
