What does a Sports Information Director do? Just ask Nate himself

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa—There are many key opponents that go into a great game day, but not many as important as the Sports Information Director (SID).

Meet Nathaniel LaRiccia, Westminster’s Sports Information Director. Nate has been Westminster’s SID since December of 2011. A lot of people at Westminster do not know what Nate does, or even that he is here.

“Anything you see sports related on the website I oversee it all” Nate said. “I am the liaison with the local media and the teams.”

Nate also has a very busy schedule on his hands. Preparation for just one game could take days.

“It takes hours, but it is fun.”
