Women's Soccer: Titans Drop to Saint Vincent

LA TROBE, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team lost in a hard fought match to Saint Vincent, 1-0, in both team's Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener on Saturday. The Titans dropped to 4-5-2 overall and 0-1 in the PAC, while the Bearcats improved to 8-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.


The lone goal came at the 69:35 mark in the second half when Saint Vincent's Monika Derboghossian scored her second goal of the season. Abbey Neish and Jennifer Kisner each earned an assist on the play.


For the game, Saint Vincent out-shot the Titans 16-8. Westminster earned five shots on goal.


Westminster senior goalie Jenn Cantella (Freedom, PA/Freedom) earned a game-high nine saves in 90 minutes of play.


The Titans will host Washington & Jefferson on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
