Women's Soccer: Titans Win 3-0 on Senior Night

Westminster recognized seniors Jenn Cantella (Freedom, PA / Freedom) and Maura Miglioretti (Monroeville, PA / Gateway).
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - For the third-straight match, the Westminster College women's soccer team won 3-0. This time it was against Waynesburg on Senior Night under the lights of Harold Burry Stadium. The Titans improved to 7-7-5 overall and 2-3-3 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference, while the Tomcats dropped to 5-10-1 overall and 2-6 in the league.
Westminster junior Amanda Turi (Monroeville, PA / Gateway) scored the first two goals (10:46, 45:25) of the game for her first multiple-goal game of her career. Turi broke away from the Tomcats defense in her first score and sophomore Kerri Inzinga (Monroeville, PA / Gateway) found Turi with a through ball in her second goal. Turi has a team-high six goals on the year.
Adding insurance was freshman Krista Edwards (Summerville, PA / Springdale) who scored at the 59:53 mark off a deflection.
The Titans outshot the Tomcats 14-to-6 and blanked Thiel in corner kicks (8-to-0).
During pregame, Westminster recognized seniors Jenn Cantella (Freedom, PA / Freedom) and Maura Miglioretti (Monroeville, PA / Gateway). Cantella had two saves in 73:48 minutes of play, while Miglioretti earned two shots.
Westminster will finish its regular season on Saturday as they travel to Grove City at 2:30 p.m.
