ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Westminster College women’s golf team opened its 2017-18 season at the Mount Union Fall Invitational on Sunday. The event took place at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.

Mount Union won with a 328. Marietta’s Jackie Cunningham was the medalist with a 75.

Westminster finished sixth with a team score of 375. Titan senior Kelsey Phillips (Pittsburgh, PA / North Allegheny) carded a team-best score of 85 for a tie in eighth-place.

Sophomore Emily Marcus (South Park, PA / South Park) finished next for Westminster with a 92 for a 20th-place tie. Sophomore Alexa Hutchinson (Geneva, OH / Geneva) tied for 28th (95), followed by sophomore Danielle Durbin (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) (34th/103) and first-year Mariah Hoff (Vienna, OH / Matthews) (37th/109).

The Titans will next compete at the two-day Carnegie Mellon Invitational, starting on Saturday, September 16.
