WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Westminster College women’s tennis team lost, 5-0, to the 15th ranked University of Mary Washington in the opening round of the 2017 NCAA Division III Tournament on Friday. Williams College was the host.

This was the Titans’ third appearance in the Division III Championship, as they made the program’s first-ever trip to the national championships in 2013 and won its first ever NCAA Championship match in 2016 with a 5-1 win over Hanover College in the first round.

Westminster finishes the season 15-6 overall. After going 8-0 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) and being crowed PAC champions in the fall, the Titans earned the NCAA automatic qualifier
