NEW CASTLE, Pa.– New Castle police are investigating whether weather played a factor after a woman was killed after being struck  by a vehicle on Thursday afternoon.

Officers say the victim was standing in the middle of E. Washington St. when she was struck.  Police say it was snowing heavily at the time.

The unidentified woman was taken to UPMC Jameson where she died from her injuries.

he has been identified as 51 year old Anna Martinez from New Castle. The Investigation is continuing.
