BEREA, Ohio – Westminster College pole vaulters competed in the Baldwin Wallace Mid-February meet at Baldwin Wallace University Saturday afternoon.
Titan senior Hailey Hall (Grove City, PA / Grove City Area) placed first in the women’s pole vault with a season-best jump of 12 feet and two inches (3.71m). Hall came into today’s competition ranked 10th among Division III counterparts. Titan sophomore Tim Maxwell (Washington, PA / McGuffey) earned first-place in the men’s pole vault with a mark of 13 feet and 9.25 inches (4.20m).
Also for the Titan women, junior Jamie Thompson (Pulaski, PA / New Wilmington) and first-year teammate Julia Strobel (New Castle, PA / Wilmington Area) finished third (10’4.25″/3.16m) and fourth (10’4.25/3.16m), respectively. Also for the Titan men, sophomore Ian Miller (Sarver, PA / Freeport) also finished third (11’3.75″/3.45m).
Westminster will next compete at Kenyon College Saturday, February 17. Start time is set for 12 p.m.
