NEW WILMINGTON, Pa- Westminster College hosted yet again another fun filled Homecoming Weekend. This year’s Homecoming was led by the alumni Class of 1966. The day was filled with a 90’s theme parade, alumni coming together, Titan athletes winning on the field and sunshine brightening the sky.
In the parade, all the sororities and fraternities joined together and each of them decorated a float that followed a 90’s TV show theme. Some of the shows that were featured were Blue’s Clues, Friends, Magic School Bus, Scooby-Doo and many more. The Class of 1966 were the judges for the floats and after the final decision making:
- First Place: Sigma Kappa, Magic School Bus
- Second Place: Zeta Tau Alpha, Friends
- Third Place: Phi Mu, Blue’s Clues
After the parade everyone ventured down to the football field to start their tailgating for the big game against St. Vincent. The Titan football team took the win against the Bearcats 37-22. During halftime the Westminster band and their alumni joined together yet again to perform during the halftime show. Along with the performance of the band, Westminster’s King and Queen were announced. After all the students sent in their votes, the 2016 King and Queen that was crowned was Carl Carpenter and Abby Arrigo.
