NEW CASTLE, Pa.– State police say a New Wilmington man faces a list of charges after a fiery crash on Tuesday night that left another man dead.

Troopers say 38-year old Abram J. Weidenhamer is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of 49-year old William Baer of New Wilmington.

Baer was traveling on a motorcycle on Wilmington Road that crashed with a pickup driven by Weidenhamer.  Police say Weidenhamer ran away from the scene and Baer was trapped beneath the truck.  The truck also caught on fire.  Baer was declared dead on the scene.

In addition to the manslaughter charge, Weidenhamer faces two counts of reckless driving and one count each of accident involving death or personal injury, aggravated assault by vehicle, accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property, disregarding traffic lane, vehicle turning left violation, careless driving, and failure to stop and give information or render aid.
