NORTH BEAVER TOWNSHIP, Pa.–  State police say a 60-year old man died after he was struck by a falling pipe at a gas and oil well site in Lawrence County on Monday.  Troopers say it happened at a site operated by Hicorp Energy in North Beaver Township.

Officials identified the victim as 60-year-old Leonard Clair Long, Jr, of Glen Campbell, Pennslyvania.  Reports indicate the large steel pipe fell from a tuck and struck Long.

Hilcorp issued a public statement announcing the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
