NEW CASTLE, Pa.– New Castle police say they will extradite a suspect wanted in a triple murder that included a 10-year old victim. According to NCPD, Anthony Cooper is in custody of the U.S. Marshals Service in Detroit, Michigan.
He faces three counts of homicide in connection to the Oct. 16 shooting deaths of 10-year old Amariah, her mother Nichole Pumphrey, and Lawrence Cannon.
Cooper is the 2nd suspect in the crimes. Steven Procopio, 19, of New Wilmington was is also charged in the slayings.
The NCPD chief says four other children inside the home at the time of the killings.
District Attorney Joshua Lamancusa has declined to discuss a possible motive but says authorities don’t believe it was a robbery and the victims and the suspects in custody “all knew each other.”
