INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Westminster College freshman Connor May (Highlands Ranch, Colo. | Glacier Park) earned All-America honors Wednesday evening after his fifth-place finish on the three-meter board on the opening day of the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships.

The Division III Championships are being held at the newly-renovated Indiana University Natatorium on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus, with Franklin College and the Indiana Sports Corp serving as co-hosts.

May finished with 502.10 points during the 11-dive championship. He posted 473.80 points in the preliminaries earlier in the day. The eight divers that participated in the evening’s championship final had their five voluntary dives carry over the preliminaries. May was one of just two freshmen (Springfield College’s Connor Pennington) to compete in the championship final.

May, the first-ever Westminster diver to qualify for the Division III Championships, will participate in the one-meter diving event Friday. He clinched an automatic berth in the Championships after winning the three-meter event at the Division III Region 4 Championships, which were hosted by Ithaca College, on March 3. He finished with 544.25 points at the regional championships.
