NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Titan Athletics)– The Westminster College men’s and women’s cross country teams hosted the annual Fisher Invitational on Friday evening.
 
The Titan women placed eighth with 181 points. The Titan men competed as individuals.
 
For the women, senior Katie Schrantz (New Castle, PA / Neshannock) finished in third place out of 127 runners with a time of 24:08.81.
 
Junior Breanna Ferguson (Saegertown, PA / Saegertown) finished in 44th place with a time of 27:18.83, while first-year Makenzie Rodarmel placed next for Westminster with a time of 27:33.26 to finish in 51st place. Rounding out the top seven finishers for the Titans were sophomore Kelly Somora (Grove City, PA / Grove City) (56th/27:45.74), junior Marie Barnard (Millerstown, PA / Greenwood) (58th/27:46.97), junior Allison Hampton (Ten Sleep, WY / Ten Sleep) (61st/27:56.83), and junior Faith Howell (Honesdale, PA / Honesdale) (67th/28:30.33).
 
For the men, junior Harrison Keenan (Cranberry, PA / Cranberry) led the way, finishing 41st with a time of 28:16.13. First-year Ian Jackson placed 54th with a time of 28:46.43, while senior Evan Vent (Pittsburgh, PA / South Fayettte) placed 57th with a time of 28:59.56. Sophomore Nathan Kraus (New Castle, PA / Shenango) rounded out the male runners, coming in 78th place with a time of 30:23.50.
 
Westminster is back in action Saturday, September 7 at Bethany. Start time is set for 10 a.m.
