NEW WILMINGTON, Pa- Senior kicker, Justin Dahl, finished his last year a way any athlete would love to finish the last game of their career. Dahl broke the school record. The record Dahl broke was most field goals in a season. But Dahl didn’t just break it by one field goal. He ended up breaking it by a total of four field goals.
Along with breaking that record, he almost broke another one. Dahl was one field goal away from eclipsing Rob Dancu’s school-record five made in a single game during the 1991 season.
Dahl’s road to breaking this record was spent working on specific drills, being mentored by coach Clawson and having the love and support from his family. Pressure though was built up as it came closer to breaking that record. But Dahl didn’t let it affect him.
“Going into the bowl game was my last chance, my last opportunity for a football game. And I wanted to leave it all out on the field” said Justin Dahl.
Dahl did just that. He left his mark on the field and in the school records.
