PORTERSVILLE, Pa -- If you are looking for a place to see beautiful nature or go on a run, McConnells Mill State Park would be perfect. It is located in Lawrence County, only about 20 minutes from Westminster College. The state park as a whole is 2,546 acres. This means there is a huge selection of places to go.

Starting The Hike

These places can range from walking trails to rope swings into the water. Some people have went kayaking here in parts of the water that allows it. There also are kids who will visit here and bring beer and rafts with them to experience it that way. I have visited a part of McConnells with my friends where you could jump off a rock that stood about 20ft above the water. Other than this time, I never really explored anywhere else here. So, I decided to go back and discover more.
