NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.— Westminster College is set to make an appearance on a new movie that Netflix is producing called “The Pale Blue Eye” starring Christian Bale. Not only is the beautiful campus going to be shared on the movie, but some lucky students will be as well! Anthony Kamenski, a Westminster student got casted for a small role during the filming here at Westminster.

“I signed up in the Tub because I thought it would be funny to see myself in a movie,” Kamenski said. “I am now taking it more serious now that I got a spot in this movie.”

Kamenski is nothing but excited to be a part of the movie. Even though it’s a small role, it is something he never thought would happen to him. This is definitely something that he is going to have to take seriously and be well prepared for since shooting for the movie starts very soon.

“I think this is a great way for the school to bring in extra funds and a way for students to work together in order to make a great movie,” Kamenski said. “I am set to get my costume fitted on November 4th and all I know of now is that bootcamp is set to start on November 22nd and I’m pumped”

Production is set to begin from November 29th- December 13th. The local scenes filming will take place at the quad but with many changes. The quad will be turned into 1830s era U.S. Military Academy.

Not only is Kameski excited but the whole campus is as well. Netflix isn’t just a small streaming website. It is known around the world and is used by millions of people. Not only is this cool for Westminster College, but it is also a great opportunity to show off the campus in a different way.

This in all will help with the Colleges publicity and more. Everyone is looking forward to what is to come in the next couple of weeks!

Callbacks for some students getting fitted for costumes as they prepare to serve as extras for Christian Bale film shooting at Westminster.
