NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.-- The Westminster College student body, faculty, staff and New Wilmington neighbors are invited to participate in a Service of Remembrance marking the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks in 2001.  The service will begin at 9:20 a.m. and will take place at the flag pole on the Quad.  Those terrorist attacks killed 2823 people when hijacked airliners crashed into the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon and in a field in Somerset County.

Organizers will toll the Old Main bells at 8:46 a.m.  That's the day the first plane slammed into the first town of the WTC.

The remembrance is sponsored by the Westminster Office of Faith and Spirituality.
