Former U.S International Development officer to speak at upcoming lecture

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.-- The Westminster College International Studies, Sociology and Peace Studies programs will host a lecture Continuing to Learn Lessons from Afghanistan at 4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18 in Hoyt 152.

Mr. Reid Ahl, former supervisory executive officer, U.S. Agency for International Development, will discuss his on-the-ground- personal observations of daily life in Kabul and U.S. foreign policies toward Afghanistan. Ahl will also touch base on peace-making and promotion of women’s equality.

The lecture, which will be held in-person and via Zoom, is free and open to the public.
