NEW WILMINGTON, Pa—President Richardson met with Lead College Correspondent Lauren Millhorn on March 30 to discuss the College’s COVID mitigation achievements and additions to faculty members across the Religion, Education, and English departments.

The President first commended the College for their stark decrease in COVID cases following spring break. The community saw no positive cases or members in quarantine from March 21-25, which was the first week that the mask mandate was no longer in effect.

“I was so gratified, actually, in the positive result,” the President said. “It’s an indication that we were wise to move into this low phase. I’m just pleased that people came back to campus safely and well.”

One community member tested positive during the week of March 28-April 1. There are currently no community members in quarantine.

President Richardson also verified that the College extended an offer of employment in the Religion department to Timothy Grieve-Carlson, which Grieve-Carlson accepted. The Education and English departments will also complete searches for a new faculty member within the upcoming weeks.
