NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (WC)-- The Foster Art Gallery at Westminster College will host a Facebook Live gallery talk and virtual tour about its current exhibition, We Are Here: Black Identity in White Spaces, at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, on Westminster’s Facebook page at

The curated exhibition features work by current and former Westminster College students on the theme of Black identity.

“The double life that is part of the Black experience within White culture understandably leads to complex expressions of identity, and this exhibition is a platform to showcase the creative expressions of our Black community,” said Summer Zickefoose, gallery director and assistant professor of art.

Featured artists include alumni Celine Hildack ’20 of Campbell, Ohio, Marqus Koranteng ’15 of Youngstown, Ohio, and Macaya Yao ’17 of Alexandria, Va., and current students Jasmine Woodings, a junior English major from Verona, Pa., and Amanda Young, a senior English major from Columbia, Md.

Other members of the campus community will discuss their response to the exhibition, which was curated by Zickefoose and Jordyn Kee ’17, who works for the David Zwirner Gallery in New York City.

The exhibit is on display until Friday, Nov. 20. The gallery, located in Patterson Hall on Westminster’s campus, is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
