Takeout goes green with reusable containers at Duff and more

NEW WILMINGTON Pa - Julia Serbati is a Junior Neuroscience Major at Westminster College. Active in preserving the environment, Serbati has put a plan into action for eliminating waste on campus.

The reusable to go container program is a way for students and employees to reduce plastic on our campus by using a more substantial form of to go container.

The kitchen staff at Westminster washes these containers thoroughly every day to ensure students can actively help the environment daily. The containers are only $5 for unlimited use.

The green containers are currently being sold and used at the Tub food court and Duff dining hall. Students are to fill their containers with food, use them, and return them to be washed and will science a new, clean container for their current meal.

By putting these new containers into action, the campus eliminates the waste of flimsy plastic containers that are not recyclable.

Serbati has worked very hard to put her plan into play and is very excited toes the progression go healthiness and cleanliness on Wesminster's campus.
