Allegheny tops Titans in PAC tennis semifinals

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Westminster College women’s tennis team suffered a 5-0 setback to Allegheny College in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference tournament semifinals.

Thursday at Robertson Tennis Complex, host Allegheny remained undefeated, improving to 13-0 on the season.

Westminster is now 10-4.

Sabrina Slagle, 6-1, 6-2; Ella Swan (A) vs. Emma Sukal (W) 6-1, 4-2 (UF); Jean-Arlette LeGrand (A) vs. Gia Francisco (W), 6-2, 4-1 (UF); Sabrina Rodriguez (A) vs. Caroline Fox (W), 6-3, 4-3 (UF); Maria Lounder (A) vs. Ryleigh Valone (W), 6-1, 4-1 (UF); Ryan Cox (A) def. Taylor Dlugozima, 6-0, 6-1.

Rodriguez-Cox (A) def. Slagle-Dlugozima, 8-1; Marks-Lounder (A) def. Fox-Valone, 8-2; Swan-LeGrand (A) def. Sukal-Francisco, 8-3.

Allegheny will meet Franciscan University – a 5-2 semifinals winner over Grove City – Saturday at 1 p.m. – for the conference crown.
