Cross Country: Titans Compete in the Bill Lennox Invitational

NEW CASTLE, Pa. – The Westminster men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Bill Lennox Invitational held at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds on Saturday.

The Titan women were led by junior Sadie Cunningham (Webster, NY / Webster Thomas) with a time of 25:25, good for 26th place. Sophomore Cherise Schultz (Home, PA / Marion Center) clocked in at 26:54, earning 32nd place, followed by senior Kelly Somora (Grove City, PA / Grove City) at 28:10. First-year Alexis Yim (Ellicott City, MD / Centennial) finished at the 28:43 mark. Junior Mackenzie Rodarmel (Montoursville, PA / Loyalsock Township) clocked in at 29:08.

Leading the Titan men was first-year Joe Hill (Latrobe, PA / Greater Latrobe), earning a 31:07 time. Sophomore Joe Somora (Grove City, PA / Grove City) finished at 31:28, followed by junior Ian Jackson (Neshannock, PA / Neshannock) clocking in at 32:06. Rounding out the Titan men runners was first-year Blake Wilt (Lakewood, OH / Lakewood) at 36:42.

Westminster is back on the course Saturday, October 16 as it travels to Oberlin, Ohio to compete in the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble. Start time is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
