Men’s Golf: Titans, Bell Sit in First Place at MVC Classic

ALTOONA, Pa. - The Westminster men's golf team sit in first place out of nine schools with a 300 in day one of the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic on Friday.

The 300 tied for the 13th lowest round in program history.

The Titans were led by senior Michael Bell (Canonsburg, PA / Peters Township) who carded a 71 (-1) on the day – tying 10th best in program history. Senior Jonny Stuckert (Pittsburgh, PA / North Hills) and junior Calen Cummins (Allsion Park, PA / Hampton) followed Bell both carding a 76. Rounding out the Titan scorers was junior Sam Napper (Mt. Pleasant, PA / Mt. Pleasant) who carded a 77. 

Junior Jacob Stuckert (Pittsburgh, PA / North Hills) competed as an individual and carded a 77.

The Titans are back on the course Saturday, September 18 as they travel to Cresson, Pa. to conclude the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic. Start time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
