Men’s Soccer: Iregui Tabbed United Soccer Coaches D3 Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Westminster College senior forward Nick Iregui (Gig Harbor, WA / Charles Wright Academy) and junior defender Sam Accordino (Canfield, OH / Canfield) were named to the United Soccer Coaches Men's Scholar All-Region Team.

Iregui, Westminster's all-time leader in both goals and points, earned All-PAC First Team recognition for the fourth-straight year. Iregui is only the second player in program history to grab first team honors in four seasons (Peter Mattocks – 2016-19). Iregui led the team and was second in the PAC in both goals (6) and points (16). Iregui's four assists were also tied for the most on the team and second in the PAC. Iregui's three game-winning goals were tied for the most in the conference. Accordino earned All-PAC First team recognition for the first time after commanding a Westminster back line that allowed 16 total goals and a 1.40 goals against average. Accordino's three assists were the second most on the team.

To be eligible for Scholar All-Region recognition, student-athletes must meet the following criteria:

  • 3.40 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or better throughout career
  • Started more than 50 percent of all games and significantly contribute to their team
  • Nominated by head coach of current College Services member institution
  • Junior or above in academic standing; and, if a transfer student, in second year at school
